On its third edition, the Global Landscape Forum Investment Case Symposium capitalized on knowledge from previous editions and brought into focus the road ahead in scaling-up private finance for sustainable landscapes.
Held in Washington DC, at the International Finance Corporation, the event brought together 200 participants from 80 organizations, with almost 9,000 people following the online live stream of the Symposium, and about 3.6 million more joining the dialogue via social media.
The 2018 GLF Investment Case Symposium demonstrated how investment in restoring and sustaining natural landscapes is generating financial, social and environmental returns. It highlighted examples of deal structures that support sustainable landscape management, and community projects that reflect investment readiness to attract funding.
The GLF Donor & Partner Event report summarizes the one-day gathering, its key activities and achievements, the digital communication strategy used, as well as the key elements and actions needed for progress on sustainable finance in the near and long-term future.
