‘Decade on Ecosystem Restoration’ announced by UN

A year in the works, the United Nations Decade on Ecosystem Restoration was adopted by the General Assembly on 1 March as a global effort to bring some 2 billion hectares of deforested and degraded landscapes and seascapes into restoration between 2021 and 2030.
