Led by CIFOR-ICRAF in collaboration with its co-founders UNEP and the World Bank the GLF is scaling up to significantly contribute towards the aspirations of Agenda 2030, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Paris Agreement and the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
We are proud to have 35 of the world’s leading development, environmental, farmer, rights and research organizations serving as GLF Charter Members. Core funding for GLF has been provided by the Government of Germany and the Government of Canada via the International Model Forest Network (IMFN). Our activities are also supported by our funding partners—The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, FOLUR and the Global Environment Facility (GEF).
Charter Members have signed the GLF Charter and share a strong commitment to the vision of advancing, mainstreaming and implementing the ‘Landscape Approach’ to building landscapes that are productive, prosperous, equitable and resilient. Members do this through their own activities and plans, and by contributing to and supporting the GLF.
Besides a formal partnership, there are many other ways to partner with, participate in and contribute to the GLF, thereby helping to co-create our vision of sustainable landscapes. These include event sponsorship and participation, and contributing financially or in-kind to one of our flagship programs, which include ThinkLandscape; GLF Live; the GLF Youth-led program Youth in Landscapes (YIL); the Landscape Academy; the Communities of Practice; and GLFx – our on-the-ground network for action in landscapes.
