Environmental benefits

We are using sustainable beekeeping to promote the conservation and restoration of indigenous forests in various districts of Zambezia province in Mozambique

Community benefits

The communities have received beehives, training and are guaranteed technical assistance and a market for all the honey they produce. We are also in the process of starting a new project on Monte Namuli to produce coffee in the same moulds using an agroforestry system

Business model

We provide inputs and guarantee full time technical assistance to the communities and we buy all the honey and coffee they produce, this is then processed and sold which in future will guarantee the sustainability of the project. The idea is to make the indigenous forests a source of income so that the communities value them and preserve them instead of cutting them down. We aim to teach more sustainable models of farming like agroforestry and syntropic agriculture to mitigate the effects of deforestation
