Daniel Farchy is an Equity Investment Officer in the Infrastructure Funds and Climate Action division of the European Investment Bank’s (EIB) New Products and Special Transactions Department, where he focuses on environmental funds investment and climate finance policy.
Recently, Daniel led EIB’s investment in the Green Bond Cornerstone Fund, managed by Amundi and developed in collaboration with IFC. He is also an Executive Director of the Renewable Energy Performance Platform. Prior to 2017 Daniel was at IFC, based in Mexico and Panama, where he led IFC’s investment work with Financial Institutions on Climate/Green Finance for Latin America and the Caribbean since 2011.
Previously, Daniel also worked in environmental asset management companies in New York and Washington DC and as an energy economist at the World Bank, as well as the Finance Director for a Kenya-based household energy solutions company. He holds Masters degrees in Natural Sciences from the University of Oxford and in Economics from the Johns Hopkins University – SAIS.
