How can land use and forests help prevent a 1.5 and 2 degree C warmer world, in line with commitments made through the Paris Agreement? The climate-focused GLF event will kick start by reflecting on the findings of the IPCC Special Report on the impacts of global warming, focusing on challenges related to biomass and land availability, including agricultural land. It will further explore what needs to change so that land use aligns with climate adaptation and mitigation, while securing food and avoiding further environmental damage.
